Who I Am: Bryson DeChambeau, The Scientist
I'm Bryson DeChambeau, a professional golfer, and this is my merch store. Here's the short version of how I got here, and what you'll find in the shop.
Where did it start?
Born in California: I was born on September 16, 1993, in Modesto, California.
Physics at SMU: I went to Southern Methodist University, where I majored in physics. On tour, people call me "The Scientist".
What happened in 2015?
Two titles in one summer: in 2015 I won the NCAA Division I individual championship by one stroke, then the U.S. Amateur, beating Derek Bard 7 & 6 in the final.
Good company: that made me the fifth player to win both in the same year, after Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Ryan Moore.
When did I turn pro?
Right after the 2016 Masters. A year later, in July 2017, I won my first PGA Tour event, the John Deere Classic, by one stroke.
What came next?
Two U.S. Opens: I won in 2020 at Winged Foot by six strokes, and again in 2024 by one stroke over Rory McIlroy. You can read more in the two U.S. Opens behind our designs.
